El Chriz-
1. Dramarama - Stuck in Wonderamaland: A bittersweet song about making it in the California scene. Dramarama is really an underrated band. A nice discovery. This one is a ballad in kind of a Dylan style. Great song.

2. Anthrax - Strap It On - "Take me back to a golden time... from 85 to 89.... Strap it on... my old school..." All about celebrating old school metal. Back when it meant strapping on a jean jacket with your favorite metal band ironed onto the back. Great track. Dimebag Darrel (RIP) plays lead on this.

3. The Cure - Just Like Heaven (Dizzy Mix) - A nice remixed version of their most popular single. A B-side to a single that came out in the early 90s.

4. The Rolling Stones - Shine A Light - Quick, what album is this from? An Exile song that gets lost among the other giants on that classic album. On it's own, this is a fantastic song with a nice little guitar solo. Could have been written by The Band. Thanks for making me hear it again, Josh.

5. The Rolling Stones - Waiting on a Friend - "I'm not waiting on a lady... I'm just waiting on a friend." A love note from Mick to Keith? The original crusader's love theme... and a nice little song at that.

6. The White Stripes - Jumble, Jumble - From De Stijl. If these guys were around in the 60s, they would have been frightening. This song makes me want to do the twist and mosh at the same time.

7. Aberfeldy - Something I Must Tell You - A great little band with one of the most misleading album covers of all time. This song sounds like Josh Rouse teamed up with what's-her-name from Belle and Sebastian (Isobel Campbell).

8. Paul Burch - Montreal - I'm not familiar with Paul Burch at all... but I downloaded a couple of tracks regardless and like them quite well. Check out his loving tribute to John Peel on The Director's Chair anthology (Jon, I'll get you updated discs soon. Josh, you can suck it... you'll skip through it anyway*). I don't have much to say about this song other than I like it. It's still new to me.

9. The Scorpions - Lust or Love - I like 80s metal, okay? But even I cringe when I get blasted with cheese while partaking of more substantial nourishment. Number nine hit me like a shaken up can of Cheese Wiz. But, on a positive note, The Scorpions have more albums than you may imagine, have been around since the early 70s, and still rock like a hurricane. Kudos to them.

10. Pearl Jam - You Are - Neither of you have heard this song before. But damned if it isn't cool as hell. I want this to be on our Crusader soundtrack... to be played during the following scene: EXT- DESERT SETTING- NIGHT. We are under a beautiful desert moon. The cactus trees are lit by the glow of a campfire. El Chriz and a beautiful senorita (Salma Hayek) are wrapped completely nude in a navajo blanket. She moans passionately as she nears orgasm.

*Just kidding. You know I think of you when I hear the fifth song on this list. The love is strong.
