1. Radiohead-Bones
Cool track, I love the guitar, it reeks of Jonny Greenwood's creativity. Is it just me or did Radiohead used to make love songs? It seems that on The Bends they still liked things like girls, and then they just became angry at everything. I love how fierce the guitars are on this album. Thom has a great rock voice.
2. RL Burnside-Boogie Chillin
This is the first time I've heard this song I think. This album is really cool, though, recorded with Jon Spencer Blues Explosion who are a pretty ballsy sounding band. A cool little jukebox shuffle on this song. I should give this album more listen.
3. Built To Spill-Center Of The Universe
I heart this song. The first Built To Spill song I heard and I became obsessed with this album, Keep It Like A Secret, and one other, There's Nothing Wrong With Love. I used to blast this song on repeat when Mom would drive me to school in 10th grade and I can tell she hated it. Fantasticly catchy guitar line.
4. Nirvana-Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge On Seattle
I've barely listened to this song. It's pretty cool though. I always love to hear some Kurt vocals. Cool melody too in here. I'm gonna have to remember this one. In Utero, my fave Nirvana album.
5. Broken Social Scene-Death Cock
I LOVE this song. The horns are fantastic and this is only a B-Side, a true testament to the greatness of BSS, and the fact that such a stellar song could be left as a B-Side. And great great title. And any song that's 7 minutes and makes me want it to be longer gets a good grade in my book.
6. Half-Handed Cloud-A Suit Of Clouds To Ride The Skies
I've never listened to this song. But I know these guys are on Brother Danielson's label. This song kicks ass, I'm throwing this on a playlist.
7. Frank Zappa-Uncle Meat Film Excerpt Part 2
This is Zappa wankery. As much as I love Zappa, there isn't really a point to this.
8. Royal Trux-Liar
I was genuinely OBSESSED with this album. Royal Trux were the White Stripes, The Kills, Quasi, Moldy Peaches all before they existed. But they were on Heroin. Neil Michael Hagerty is one of my heroes, though, his inventiveness and just raw guitar playing is something I aspire to. Also of cool note, I had a bootleg cassette tape that Pussy Galore did of an entire album cover of Exile On Main Street. Pussy Galore was a band that consisted of Jon Spencer, Neil Michael Hagerty and a couple others.
9. Captain Beefheart-Dropout Boogie
In my top ten favorite albums, Safe As Milk. Beefheart is great acid blues rock with some doo-wop thrown in there. Ry Cooder plays uncredited Slide Guitar on parts of this album too. This song is hilarious, it's all about a dad telling his son to marry this girl and to dropout of school and get a job to support her. "Get a job! Get a job! You've gotta support her, you told her you love her!"
10. Johnny Cash-I Walk The Line
What can you say about this song that's fresh. Great song, Cash is the greatest. Great end to my 10 Song Crusader Shuffle.

1. The Beatles - Lady Madonna (from Love)
I love the way "Hey, Bulldog" and "Piggies" (or something from Abbey Road??) are mixed into this song. The entire Love album rocks my world.
2. L.A. Guns - Amanecer
Very cool instrumental track. Gothic. Tracii Guns started L.A. Guns around the same time that a young dbag named Axl Rose formed Hollywood Rose. The two united to form Guns N Roses. Tracii left because he wanted the band to sound more punk. His childhood friend, Slash, took his spot. L.A. Guns is a good band. I don't care what the haters think.
3. The Cure - Breathe
A Cure b-side (1987) that has a lot of flutes and keyboards. Sounds like the soundtrack to Ridley Scott's Legend... in other words, it sucks. It's like Enya and Robert Smith had a child, and that said child composed a song on a Casio keyboard.
4. Iron Maiden - Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Holy shit. If you listen to just one Iron Maiden song, this is it. A 13-minute epic inspired by the Samuel Coleridge poem of the same name - about a sailor who kills a bird out at sea and is cursed by God for killing an innocent life. The music is amazing. Part Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" part something else entirely. The time changes and overall composition is stunning. A metal masterpiece. Highly recommended.
6. Nick Drake - Parasite
Interesting to go from Maiden to Nick Drake... strange enough it works. What can I say about Nick Drake? Thanks for Volkswagon for resurrecting interest. This is a cool little song. The lyrics are stunning: "And take a look you may see me on the ground / For I am the parasite of this town / And take a look you may see me in the dirt /For I am the parasite who hangs from your skirt."
7. Breaking Benjamin - Breath
First you give me The Cure's Breathe... now breath? What's the deal, IPod? I'd also like to ask you why you are playing Breaking Benjamin? I don't remember giving you this shit... and you know I don't like Nickelback sounding bands. So what's the deal? Why do you try and embarrass me? Okay, this song isn't horrible. But next time give me a first rate turd band like 3 Doors Down or something... not a second rate bunch of ass hats.
8. Bob Dylan - Master of War (live)
A person can be a lifelong student of Dylan... the man's legacy and work is so encompassing and so profound. This is my first time hearing this version of the song. Bush should add this song to his IPod. "Even Jesus would never forgive what you do."
9. The Cure - Throw Your Foot
Another B-side. This time Robert Smith is having fun. Sounds like "Let's Go To Bed" or "Love Cats" if you are familiar with either of those songs. I like this one nearly as much as those two singles. There is something about Robert's voice that keeps The Cure from sounding dated to me. Just my opinion?
10. Enuff Z'Nuff - Long Way To Go
Crazy Retarded Mother-Fucking Yo! Thirteen albums into their career (only one of them is really from the 80s), and people still lump these guys with Poison and Warrant. What gives? Well, those people can kiss my ass. These guys write great tunes, love The Beatles, and simply rock. This is from their second album, Strength (1991). An El Chriz favorite. The title track uses the same mellotron that John Lennon used to record Strawberry Fields Forever. Enuff Z'Nuff recorded the track on Lennon's birthday.

Jojo’s shuffle- 1.23.07
Get It- RJD2
New RJ from his new album, played because I just put it on my iTunes from the Josh today. Awesome production and beats, cool guitar in the background.

Dreams(Demo)- Joshua Whitehead
Yeah biotch, Kang Josh in the hizzy! Nice guitar picking over a thumping beat, one of my favorite of the josh’s bumpers, just too short!

Analyse- Thom Yorke
The repetitive line of this song, “it gets you down, you travel far, what have you found..” Good lord I love this album, but if I ever wanted to kill myself, I could throw this on easily! Cool song though.

Uncle Johnny – The Killers
Rocking and off kilter number from the Killers, but still with a catchy chorus. This is one of the top two or three songs off of Sam’s Town and they make a good choice by chorally singing parts.

Tater Pimpin’(Tater Chip)- GLC
“This Tata bitch, I saw you up in club, you had a phat ass.”
“Who This?”
“Do I look like a repeatin processor” Wow, this lil comedy clips from GLC make me cackle everytime, pure genius!

When We Were Friends- Cee-Lo Green
This fat, sometimes jolly lil black man is truly a soul machine. Put this on your jukebox, grab some love oil, make sure your lady got on something skimpy and it don’t matter what yo ass looks like, Cee-Lo made your job easy son!

Seconds-U2
This is back when these boys were straight up, back when larry mullens only had one real drum beat, but it was right on. The Edge is straight up, and you just know Bono is doing his little leg kicking dance to this, good little number from War!

Intro-Lupe Fiasco
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH, some dumb bitch talking in my ear for a minute about some dumb shit repping Lupe, like I don’t know, but then Lupe gets going. This boy got skills, but why did you waste a full minute your record and my time on that ho? And man, the lyrics on this song are absolute trash? “the only things in the world come down to two things- food and liquor!” Yeah, sure buddy.

When You were Young- The Killers
Very poppy, fun song from Killers, probably second best song on the album. Sounds like their stuff from the first song. Its catchy stuff, easy to listen to and dance to, I’ll take it.

Gold Lion- Yeah Yeah Yeahs
HELL YES! Saved by this goddess, otherwise my shuffle was 50/50 bust. This song just rocks out, great lyrics, great guitar and drums. This song just kicks ass, and she just warbles out of control!
